Alex has over 30 years’ experience playing the cello and more than 15 years’ experience teaching adults and children in a variety of settings.

Having learned to play the cello to grade 8 standard as a child, Alex took up cello teaching under the mentorship of her childhood teacher, Norwich cello tutor Maja Passchier. She has a distinction level ATCL (Associate of Trinity College London) Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance.

In addition to offering private one-to-one cello lessons in Norwich, Alex also teaches at Notre Dame Prep school.

Alex is also a passionate cello player as well as being a teacher. She plays in a variety of different styles and genres including traditional classical music, folk, popular and contemporary music. Alex frequently performs with the Mari Joyce Band.
